These popular bakeries and stores are launching exclusive Mother’s Day cakes and bakes this coming month, ranging from adorable, petite macarons, to indulgent cakes with premium ingredients. Châteraisé has become the go-to bakery for special occasions, and thankfully, they’ve got nine unique sweet treats lined up for this Mother’s Day as well. Planning a small surprise? Get 10 pieces of bon bon macarons ($25), or treats like the strawberry bouquet cake ($9) or strawberry cake ($7.30) to go along with a bouquet of fresh flowers. Else, you won’t go wrong with the Mother’s Day Love Blossom cake (from $40) which comes piped with fresh cream with heaps of fruits on top. For something more unique, the assorted bouquet cake ($55) is specially put together with eight slices of cake in different flavours, while the pistachio and choc flower wreath cake ($45) is perfect for mums who’d prefer something more savoury and indulgent. Available for pick-up and delivery from May 1 onwards.

The online dessert shop by local actress Fann Wong is presenting two new handcrafted cakes this Mother’s Day. If your mum is a chocolate enthusiast, get the Triple Chocolate Cheesecake ($68), which comes with a crunchy chocolate crumble base, layers of triple chocolate cream cheese, and a milk and white chocolate Chantilly crown. And if dark chocolate is more up her alley, the Flourless Dark Chocolate Bliss ($75) will do just the trick. The cake features layers of dark chocolate crémeux, tangy raspberry confit, a velvety pistachio purée, and a milk chocolate ganache on the top. Available for pre-order online from April 20 onwards.

The popular bakery which sells out daily at Paragon is now also open at Bukit Timah, and this May, they are launching a series of special bakes for Mother’s Day inspired by refreshing, zesty flavours. Each bite of the Raspberry Twister ($4) is set to surprise with its burst of tangy raspberry custard atop a flaky, buttery pastry. Other highlights include the mango and passion fruit jelly ($4) or Mango and Cranberry French ($5.60), or the savoury Honey Mustard Chicken ($5) which features tender chicken slices with a rich honey mustard sauce. Available from May 1 to 30.

Every macaron lover would have heard of Paul Bakery, famed for their macarons that are made in France using only free range eggs, without artificial flavours or colouring. This year, the bakery is launching exclusive macaron garden-themed cakes ($80) for Mother’s Day. Choose from three flavours that all come adorned with colourful mini macarons. The Craquant features a classic dark chocolate praline with layers of chocolate sponge cake and velvety mousse; the Fraisier is ideal for strawberry lovers, featuring a genoise sponge with mousseline cream, strawberries and marzipan; and the Gâteau Trio is a refreshing new tropical cake featuring fresh berries, a light pistachio sponge, strawberry jelly, mango and chocolate. Available for pre-order online from April 5 onwards.

Local artisanal pastry shop Ardor might have just launched this year, but they’ve already gained a fanbase for their signature burnt cheesecakes – the earl grey lavender burnt cheesecake is especially pleasing on the eyes with its beautiful pastel purple hues. This Mother’s Day, the bakery will be whipping up limited edition six-inch raspberry rose cakes ($42) with a delicate sweetness from rose-infused Chantilly cream, tangy layers of raspberry confit between castella sponge, and finished off with crunchy, fragrant coconut shavings for an added bite. The cake’s already priced affordably, but order it before May 2 and you can enjoy it at an early bird price of $38. Available for pre-order online from now till May 12.

Treat your mum to a luxurious hamper this Mother’s Day with Modern Provision’s specially curated bundles. The brand is Ebb & Flow Group’s in-house grocer and they supply premium ingredients to restaurants under its belt. The lavish Fit For A Queen bundle ($238) sets the stage for your mum to have the afternoon off, sipping on the finest bubbly – Ruinart’s Blanc de Blanc – and assembling caviar canapés with Black River Oscietra Caviar and Annie’s Crème Fraîche. And to top it off – a fragrant pandan coconut chocolate from Mr Bucket Chocolaterie as a sweet treat. There’s also the option of adding on a bouquet of blooms for $40 to complete the gesture.
