We love Cabo. The gastronomy of Los Cabos is celebrated worldwide as it combines the freshness of the sea and the quality of its ingredients with local and international talent. Its cuisine and bars offer variety for all tastes.

Crania

Crania is a space dedicated to art, creativity and partying. The restaurant is run by chefs Javier Ornelas and Adrian Cerecero. The menu breathes a story of continuous transformation, redefining traditional ingredients into avant-garde culinary artworks. Reserve your ticket to their incredible events
and enjoy signature cocktails and local ingredients, here the stage is a platform for the best national and international DJs.

Marina Puerto, La Playa, San José del Cabo.

Acre

This farm-to-table cuisine is a marriage of global influences and local ingredients that evolves with the seasons. Don't miss their innovative cocktail program, where award-winning compositions are elevated by produce grown just beyond the confines of the bar.

Rincón de las Animas S/N, Animas Bajas, San José del Cabo.

Nido

Inside the Viceroy resort, a curious nest hides for lovers of restaurants with elevated offerings and a passion for seafood. Its specialty is Omakase, a gastronomic experience for two, but you can also order some rolls, onigiris, seared tuna, or salmon. We were captivated by their miso ramen with butter, followed by hamachi tatake and grilled octopus.

Perhaps the allure of the experience lies in the design of the restaurant, which emulates a nest, making it the perfect place for a romantic afternoon or to create memories through unique photos. Surrounded by water, Asian cuisine... ¡it's surely a romantic evening!

Lumbre

Wood-fired cuisine that pays homage to the region in its contemporary dishes. Although its speciality is meat, its ambience and drink options make it a must in San Jose del Cabo.

Its design makes it perfect for multi-course meals, and the experience is centred on the pairing of the cuts with its select wine cellar. We tried the stone oysters with mashed avocado and ashes, followed by the strong bet of creamed octopus with beans and closed with baked beets for dessert.

Nao

NAO offers a culinary journey inspired by the sea, cliffs and locally sourced ingredients of Cabo, curated by Chef Alex Branch. His menu is a mix of regional vegetables and bold connections between the Middle East, the Mediterranean and the West. Imagine a space designed as a blank canvas, illuminated by natural light and organic textures, including a sun-drenched terrace with an unparalleled view of the Sea of Cortez.

El Merkado, Tourist Corridor. San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur. Mon-sat 5:30-11pm.

Talay

An approach to Thai street food, even the environment is like a night market. The chef in charge is Marc Narongchai. With grilled flavors and a cocktail bar with a unique essence. What are unpredictable is the Pad Thai Shrimp and Yellow Chicken Curry.

A pro is that they can accommodate any dietary restrictions.

Carretera Transpeninsular KM. 12.5, Int., Bahía Santa María. Mon-sun 6-10pm.

Torote

Farm to table with a Mediterranean Twist. Dishes have an impressive flavor. Victor Garrido is the head cook and food artist. It is a very nice place, so comfortable and fresh. Find dinner all week, but breakfast it is just from Tuesday to Saturday. And at the end of the week, you can have brunch on Sunday.

Altos del Tezal, Cabo San Lucas. Mon-sun 8am-10:30pm. @toroterestaurant.

Manta

Look up at Cabo in its maximum splendor while you enjoy dinner in Manta, a restaurant of Enrique Olvera. The ribeye with chili is really good, but if you are there, take risks, then go for the mushroom ramen with beans, epazote and chili. Actually, almost all of the dishes on the menu are different from what you’ve tried before.

Carretera Federal 1km, 5 Misiones del Campo. Mon-sun 5:30-8pm. @mantacabo.

The menu showcases the authentic seafood traditions of the Italian coast with tempting dishes such as grilled octopus and handmade pastas, perfectly complemented by a carefully curated wine list and handcrafted cocktails. Be sure to try their homemade desserts. The finishing touch!

El Patrón

This bistro at Villa del Arco resort blends traditional Mexican cuisine with innovative dishes. We recommend booking a table on the terrace or in the indoor bar —especially for dinner— to try chef's specialties, along with a vast selection of tequilas, mezcal, and Mexican wines. The menu stands out for its regional organic products and seafood from the Sea of Cortez. Book here if you are looking for an elegant meal in a classy setting but keep in mind that the restaurant is only open for breakfast on Sundays.

Camino Viejo a San José 1301, Tourist Corridor. San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur. Mon-sat 7:30am-10:30pm, sun 7:30am-11:30am.

Taller 17

Taller 17 might come as a surprise in the eclectic Todos los Santos, but it quickly becomes a must-visit. This charming and simple establishment offers robust cold brew and expertly crafted pour-overs. The pastries—buttery scones, flaky fruit pies, and chewy-crispy cookies—are impeccably fresh. We love that it escapes all the hipster pretensions that abound nowadays and unfortunately captivate less aware tourists.

Centenario #17, Centro. Mon-sat 7:30am-3pm, Sun 8am-2pm. $400.

Taboo

With a spectacular view of the coast, nestled within the ME Hotel and proclaiming itself as one of the country's best seafood restaurants, Taboo stands tall. Its aim is to create unforgettable nights through the experience of visiting the place. It's a space that bets on refinement, with all the pros and cons that come with it. Without a doubt, it's tempting to celebrate New Year's or Independence Day there, thanks to its fireworks show.

Acuario, Playa El Medano, dentro de Hotel ME. Mon-sun 11am-1pm. $2,000-$3,000.

Jazamango

Created by the Tijuana chef, Javier Plascencia, Jazamango is among the restaurants that bet on flavor and ingredients. This is not in vain, as Plascencia has a natural curiosity for taste. The space feels open-air, and its dishes are equally natural and connected with the environment. The dishes eschew grand pretensions and focus on ensuring the customer enjoys them to the fullest, like a meal at grandma's house.

Los Naranjos s/n, La Huerta. Wed-Mon 1-8pm. $1,500.

Mi Compa Chava

Mi compa Chava's offer is all about super-fresh, lovingly prepared fish and seafood. There are hot options such as kampachitos (a.ka. horse mackerel) or shrimp zarandeados. There are also cold dishes like the ceviche tripon that comes with callo de lobina, callo de hacha, cooked and raw shrimp, octopus and its chili serrano, or the green shrimp aguachile.

There are also a couple of dishes to share. The must-try is the Señora Torres, a tower (as the name says) so tall that it will remind you of childhood afternoons spent playing Jenga. This seafood Everest comes with scallops, raw and cooked shrimp, octopus, blackfin tuna, onion, cucumber, avocado and a seafood sauce of chile morita.

El Farallon

Located inside the Waldorf Astoria its cuisine focuses on local catches, you can enjoy a four-course menu while taking in the breathtaking view.

Ceviche is the star, while the Amberjack grill, or Blue Fin Tuna is a delight. We recommend you let yourself be carried away by chef Gustavo Pinet's recommendations.

Accompany the catch of the day with a wine from the menu. If you're lucky there will be a guest chef and the champagne won't stop flowing.
